Discover all the beauty of the Pyrénées Orientales
While our 4 star campsite has everything you need for the holiday of your dreams, whether you like sports, water sports or just relaxing, it would be a shame not to enjoy the magnificent riches of the Pyrénées Orientales.
The beauty of Catalan villages
Catalonia is full of places to discover with your family: Collioure and its colourful alleys, Font Romeu and its solar oven, the abbaye de Saint Martin perched on the summit of Canigou or the resort of Argelès-sur-Mer and its cluster of typical Catalonian alleyways.
And across the Spanish border, the land of Salvador Dali, with the towns of Figueras and Cadaques. Why not carry on to Barcelona, where you can marvel at the Sagrada Familia and the magnificent architecture of Gaudi?
Water, in all its states
Don’t miss the calanques and other small inlets you can find near the main resorts on the Mediterranean coast. They reveal sumptuous, postcard-pretty landscapes, with azure, indeed turquoise waters.
Then head off to the hot water springs and public baths at Saint Thomas, or the baths of Amélie-les-Bains or Vernet.
A few ideas for family excursions
Here are a few ideas for trips out with young kids that you might enjoy:
- Carcassonne and its medieval centre, listed as a UNESCO world heritage site, an exciting town redolent of the knights and princesses of the era.
- Sigean and its big wildlife reserve, an incomparable zoo located between Narbonne and Perpignan which is home to over 3,800 animals over more than 300 hectares.
- The Cerdagne yellow train, the “Canary” - which links Ville Franche de Conflent with Latour de Carol, covering 63 km and dropping 1,200 m. A superb trip in open carriages to enjoy the magnificent landscapes of Catalonia.
